Mahindra launched the facelift of one of its prime products, the XUV700, on 5 January 2026, under the new name XUV 7XO. The previous model, the XUV700, has a huge fan base and has been a segment leader since its launch. Mahindra sold an average of 7,000+ units per month, making it one of the brand’s most successful SUVs. Mahindra launched the XUV 7XO at a price range of ₹13.66 lakh to ₹24.11 lakh (ex-showroom) for the first 40,000 customers. The AX variant is the base variant of the Mahindra XUV 7XO, and overall, it offers a strong value-for-money package for buyers. Despite being the entry-level trim, the XUV 7XO AX variant comes loaded with several premium features. It includes a triple-screen dashboard layout, Bi-LED projector headlamps with DRLs, a six-speaker audio system, Adrenox connected car technology, cruise control, and six airbags. The SUV also gets Zip, Zap, and Zoom driving modes, electrically adjustable ORVMs, ABS with EBD, traction control, hill-hold assist, and hill-descent control. These include a rear-view camera with dynamic guidelines, electrically adjustable and auto-folding ORVMs, and a rear wiper and washer, telescopic-adjustable steering, panoramic sunroof, Front parking sensors among other features that enhance everyday usability.

Due to strong demand, the waiting period for the Mahindra XUV 7XO AX3 and AX5 variants is currently around 5 months. However, the exact delivery timeline may vary depending on the city, dealership allocation, and production schedule.

Mahindra XUV 7XO waiting period – AX7, AX7T

This are the top-end variants of the Mahindra XUV 7XO lineup, and they offer a significantly premium feature package. Along with all the features available in the AX5 variant, these trims get several exclusive upgrades. Key highlights include R18 diamond-cut alloy wheels, AdrenoX+ connected technology, a six-way power-adjustable driver seat with memory function and welcome retract, an air purifier with carbon filter, VR LED, and AQI display, automatic headlamps, and a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).

Additionally, the AX7T variant comes equipped with Level 2 ADAS with dynamic visualisation, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, Dolby Atmos, ventilated front seats, GrooveMe, headlight booster, a knee airbag, and several other advanced safety and comfort features.

Despite being the most premium trims, the waiting period for these top-end XUV 7XO variants is around 4 weeks. This is mainly because Mahindra is producing these variants in higher numbers to meet demand. Another reason is that Mahindra is prioritising the delivery of top-end variants, as the company is actively pushing these trims due to higher margins and strong customer preference.

The AX7L is the top model of the Mahindra XUV 7XO lineup and serves as the luxury-focused version of the AX7 variant. In addition to all the features offered in the AX7, the XUV 7XO AX7L comes with several premium upgrades. These include R19 diamond-cut alloy wheels, multi-zone ambient lighting, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, a six-way power-adjustable front passenger seat, Boss Mode, ventilated rear seats, and several other comfort-oriented features that elevate the overall cabin experience.
