Renault has officially revealed the all-new Duster in India, featuring a bold and aggressive design along with several attractive new features. The older model was extremely popular in its segment and enjoyed a massive fan base. With this new generation, Renault is set to carry forward its legacy and give tough competition to its rivals.
The new Duster 2026 introduces several new features along with+ a rugged design, updated engine options, and refreshed exterior and interior styling. The Duster has always been known for its tough and reliable nature, and Renault has ensured that the same rugged DNA continues in the latest generation.

Design & Exterior
The new Duster comes with a bold, aggressive, and off-road-capable exterior design. At the front, it gets new LED headlamps with DRLs and LED fog lamps positioned at the bottom. The Duster features a new grille design with “DUSTER” lettering on it, which adds to its bold and aggressive look. The ADAS system is placed at the top of the windshield, along with six parking sensors at the front.
It also gets foldable and electrically adjustable ORVMs and new roof rails. At the rear, the Duster comes with LED taillamps connected by a light bar. The SUV offers a new electric tailgate with the Renault logo and Duster badge. On the sides, the Duster rides on 225/55 R18-inch tyres and gets rear disc brakes. Additionally, the Duster is equipped with hydraulic struts for the front bonnet.
Interior & Features
Renault offers a completely new interior design in the Duster 2026, which looks more stylish and upmarket compared to the older model. The SUV gets a new 3-spoke steering wheel along with a 10.25 inch fully digital instrument cluster and a 10.1 inch touchscreen infotainment system.
The Duster introduces a redesigned dashboard finished with soft-touch materials, enhancing the cabin’s premium feel. The door panels feature one-touch up and down power window switches along with mirror adjustment controls. The seats come with leather upholstery and also offer a ventilation function for added comfort.
In the second row, the Duster gets three adjustable headrests, a center armrest, three seat belts, rear AC vents, and charging ports. Renault also offers a sunroof, further improving the overall cabin experience.
Engine options
The Renault Duster 2026 will be offered with three engine options. The first is a 1.0L three-cylinder turbo petrol engine that produces around 100 PS of power and 160 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed manual transmission.
The second engine is a more powerful 1.3L four-cylinder turbo petrol unit, generating 160 PS of power and 280 Nm of torque. This engine will be available with a 6-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed wet-plate DCT automatic gearbox. Both these petrol engine options are expected to be available at launch.
The third engine option, which will be introduced at a later stage, is a 1.8L four-cylinder naturally aspirated strong hybrid engine. It delivers 160 PS of power and 205 Nm of torque. This hybrid powertrain is designed mainly for city driving, with Renault claiming that it can run up to 80% of the time on electric power in urban conditions, offering significantly better mileage in the city.
Safety Features & Technology
The new Renault Duster 2026 is built on a new platform, and Renault claims that it is capable of achieving a 5-star safety rating. The solid door-thud sound reflects the good build quality and strong body materials used in the SUV.
In terms of safety, the Duster offers six airbags as standard, along with a 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and an electronic parking brake. The SUV also gets Level 2 ADAS features such as adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, emergency braking, forward collision warning, distance warning, lane departure warning, hill start assist, and hill descent assist. Cruise control with a speed limiter is also offered.
For comfort and technology, Renault is offering a panoramic sunroof in the Duster for the first time. Additional features include wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a wireless phone charger, dual-zone climate control, a powered tailgate, 6-way electrically adjustable and ventilated front seats, and one-touch up and down power windows.

Expected Price & Launch Date
Renault has started the bookings for the Duster 2026 from 26 January 2026. The SUV is expected to be officially launched in mid-March 2026. In terms of pricing, the new Renault Duster is likely to be priced between ₹10 lakh and ₹19 lakh (ex-showroom).
